💜 Run Balmoral 💜

Here we go. The greatest weekend of the year for the FLJs.

Whether you are fresh out of Couch to 5k, or a Balmoral old timer, you’re bound to have a good time. Here’s what you have in store…

🚌 BUS 🚌

I’m sorry but we don’t have enough people to justify a second bus. Spaces may come available, but otherwise those on the wait list may have to arrange to car share.

The FLJ bus will leave the Hammerton at 10am. Please don’t be late.

We can do pick ups along North Deeside Road if people need collected en route. Please post below.

If you can no longer manage, please let us know, so we can offer up your bus space.

🚗 CAR PARKING 🚗

If you are driving out, please give yourself plenty time. The roads will be busy, and the car parks can be quite a walk away. Make sure you can carry everything you need for the day.

Don’t worry about finding us. You’ll easily spot the purple gazebos

Feel free to bring your family and friends too. We’re a very welcoming bunch.

🏃🏻‍♀️ RACE ENTRIES 🏃‍♂️

Your race pack should have been posted out to you. Please don’t forget to take it. If it hasn’t arrived, you can get a replacement on the day from the registration tent

If you can no longer run, feel free to donate your race number. Swaps are allowed on the day and we may find a taker

🥂🍾 REFRESHMENTS 🥂🍾

We will have the FLJ gazebos, loaded with beer and Prosecco, as well as soft drinks. Please bring money for the Prosecco pot, or donate through PayPal.me/FLJs

This is a great fundraiser for the club, so be generous.

🎂 SNACKS 🎂

We will take some snacks and nibbles. But if anyone would like to do any baking then I’m sure that would be greatly appreciated.

There will also be plenty food trucks as part of the event village

💜 FLJ MERCH 💜

I will take up all the FLJ T-shirts, buffs and hats that we have, so if you need to pick up some extra purple, it should be available.

Let me know if you’re after anything and I can put it aside for you.

I will also have the C25k graduation T-shirts for anyone that didn’t get them already

🥇 RACE TIMES 🥇

The 5k starts at 12.30pm and the 10k is at 2pm. Please don’t be late. And those not running will hopefully be cheering on all those runners on the course.

We will gather for a team photo between the 5k and 10k races. Please gather in front of the gazebos at 1.30pm

☀️ WEATHER 🌧️

Who knows what the weather will do on the day? We have had snow. We have had glorious sunshine. Fingers crossed for a lovely spring day, but best to be prepared and take some layers.

🚌 BUS HOME 🚌

The bus will leave Balmoral to head back at 6pm. However if the weather isn’t great, it may leave sooner. So don’t wander too far…

The post race party will be in the Great Western Hotel, for anyone still going strong.

Don’t worry about the running. That’s incidental to the rest of the day. It’s going to be amazing
